Life Member Chryss Jamieson had his final drive at the Superkart Australia Championship round at the Bend Motorsport Park! Driving the TM powered Anderson chassis known as the yellow rocket!
Chryss has been driving Superkarts for 53 years, yes 53 years which is absolutely incredible having driven everything from 80cc all the way up to the fire breathing 250 Internationals and been extremely competitive showing many a younger driver that experience counts more than youth.
He has been a great mentor and invaluable club member apart from driving Chryss was building the Galdiator Chassis in the 80/90’s which was extremely popular in the 80cc class back in the day, welding up broken pipes, seat mounts and what ever else was required with the Oxy at the track keeping people racing to his modern day Dyno work with the TM 125’s and DEA 250 twins and extracting some serious HP numbers.
He will continue to pit crew for his son 3 time champion Russell Jamieson and continue to build the 125 Gearbox class here in Qld currently fielding 3 karts which is no easy feat.
Congrats on an amazing career Chryss and can’t wait to catch up again in 2024!
