Well it was a cold weekend at Morgan Park Raceway for the AASA State Championship round1.
With a record number of entries, everyone enjoyed the High’s & Lows that only motorsport can bring.
Congrats to our new member X Le competing for the first in TAG light. Along with Jack Murray she did an amazing job first time against Jack who is now in his second second year in TAG light. Both ending the weekend some 4 seconds quicker than their qualifying times.
Morgan Park circiut is a great Superkart circuit, but it can be “HARD” on equipment.. Big shout out to Chryss Jamieson for the on track repairs to so many races there that weekend.

It was great to see some old faces come back to Super karting.. Namely Paul Snaith in his 250cc National kart. Paul had a mixed weekend but loved to be back racing.
Russell Jamieson took the Morgan Park honours with the highlight of breaking a very long standing lap record for the 125cc Gearbox class. Congrats Russell, I don’t thing there are too many lap records for you to challenge…
One of the great things about Morgan Park is the relax atmosphere and the ability to have onsite accommodation and a camp fire Saturday night.. The Jamieson’s come prepared for the weekend in Style….

Everyone will now be busy regrouping and getting their karts ready for the Hi-Tecs Oil Queensland Cu[p round in August the 16/17th. With having the added pressure from some Southern Victorian and NSW competitors venturing North to have a crack at taking home the spoils and trophy and bragging rights to being the first of the Queensland Superkart Cup winners…
