2015 Austalian Superkart Champion. Russell Jamieson Anderson/DEA Queensland

2015 Rockpress/ Coach Design Australian Superkart Championship

Queensland racer, Russell Jamieson, reclaimed the 250cc International Championship at the final round at Phillip Island September 18 - 20. He didn't have it all his own way as the 2014 Champion, Gary Pegoraro in his Anderson/ BRC, and honorary Victorian, Anton Stevens PVP/FPE, were determined to do everything they could to stop Russell from winning. With race 3 being declared due to a race incident, only half points were awarded making the chase even harder for Pegoraro and Stevens.

There is no doubt who is the 2015 Australian 250 National Champion is. Jordan Ford in the ex Gavin Bennett Anderson/Yamaha clean swept the entire 2015 series. The entire Team WR outfit from Victoria were the team to beat. Needless to say the presentation of all 3 Anderson/ Yamaha's was sensational due to the signage from Slipstream Signs. Dan Lewis after being second at Sydney Motorsport Park, never got through qualifying as his engine was eating pistons faster than they can make them. Tim Weier continues to improve and impress. 4th overall on his first time at the Australian Championships and at either of these race tracks is commendable effort.

125cc National was hard fort as ever. Mark Robin from NSW in his Stockman MR2/ Honda was the driver to beat but 2014 winner, Garry Haywood, and Paul Campbell pressing him hard all the way. With most of the competitor racing with just a whisker between them, it makes for compulsory viewing with multiple lead changes every lap. Queensland Life Member and Chairman of Superkarts Australia, Phil Silcock finished a creditable 4th in the 2015 series.
