R2 QSC INC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS 125 Gearbox

Sam McFerran putting a dominant performance all weekend. William Tait putting in a solid performance all weekend and is improving with each appearance. Phil Silcock after an early setbacks which saw some micro adjustments to the rear axle required. Lindsay Jamieson and Jon Bothamley battled issues but showed very good speed during the weekend.

R2 QSC INC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS 250 NATIONAL

The weekend was a Gas Gas show all weekend due to the no show of Dan Lewis. Tim Weier battled hard all weekend with Lachlan Crisp and sharing the honours between them all weekend. Unfortunately Gareth Crisp had an engine problems in qualifying which hampered his performance.

R2 QSC Inc Championship Results 250 International

Steve Cloake in his Stockman/ VM showed the way most of the weekend but unfortunately couldn't stay around for the presentation. Rookie Neil Faulkner in the ex Russell Jamieson Anderson /DEA showed promise in his first ever appearance. Brian Wild had an up and down weekend but is getting his package sorted.

Superkart display at Harry's Diner

The QSC Inc dipped their toes into the social media pond last night at Harry’s Diner bike night in Windsor as a pre-curser to a superkart night now booked for the Saturday 17th June. Darryl Bertram had kindly offered up his Formula 1 250cc International Superkart for the display and was also gracious enough to answer all of the usual questions from an eager crowd.

The evening was slowly building until 6:15pm when what could only be described as swarms of motorcyclists arrived, we didn’t do a head count but I suspect easily around 1,500 people for a Wednesday but there may have been many more as bikes come and go throughout the evening.

Motorcyclists obviously travel in groups of four as this seemed to be the amount of people that would approach and inspect the kart at any one time. The general crowd were amazed as to the technical specs of Darryl’s 250cc kart, lots of selfies were taken and uploaded to social media with the kart in the foreground of the diner.

Both men and women were googling the club, Superkarts, video and were stunned as to the racing action on Youtube and the affordability of the sport. They were equally stunned when we informed them the QSC Inc is having their 40th Anniversary this year as those inspecting the kart openly stated ‘that we’ve have never seen any of this before’.

R2 Qld Superkart Series QR May 20 - 21 Promo

Round 2 entries for Queensland Raceway May 20 - 21 are now open. Entries will close Thursday May 11th. Its a 2 day meeting all for just $220.00. All entry enquiries please contact the race secretary at treasurer@qldsuperkart.org or phone 54268472.
Practice will be available Friday 19th May for $80.00 for a half day and $120.00 for the full day. Please notify the Secretary, secretary@qldsuperkart.org, if you plan on going.

2017 Queensland Superkart Round 1 Points and Round 2 Entries NOW OPEN

Attached are the points from Round 1 at Lakeside Park last weekend. Many competitors have carried on their good form from last year and giving the rest of the competitors in their field something to chase already.

R1 2017 QUEENSLAND SUPERKART SERIES 125cc GEARBOX RESULTS

125cc Gearbox class put on a fantastic display for the crowd. It was the new Queensland President, Sam McFerran, winning 2 out of 3 races taking top honors. Jon Bothamley keeping him honest and picking up a win when Sam had a rare spin due to some oil in the Carosell in race 2. Veteran Phil Silcock rounded out the podium. Lindsay Jamieson in the Linra Properties Stockman/ Honda had great speed but failed to finish any race due to a niggle in the electrics and fuel system.
